Yeah, it’s that time of the life when shit hits the fan HARD! The provider for Windows Hosting went down without notice… And IS down still for almost a week. Then we lost several clients, and finally decided to abandon the whole windows hosting thing and concentrate on Linix/PHP/mySQL in addition to web design services that we offer. Feel sorry for clients though.

Now the second part of the game – contacting 2Checkout for refund and cancellation, since the hoster (myonehome.com/worldseller.com) doesn’t respond.

Sometimes some people can set me off, even though I am very patient and calm person. First they didn’t like the project. Then they didn’t like the terms. Then they didn’t like the payment amount. Then they didn’t like the payment time frame.

Had to give in to the last resort – mentioning that they are not the only developers around. Worked like a charm.

My girlfriend finally gave me my 3-year-aniversary gift, the Canon A95. It’s small, cute and 5 megapixels. It’s so convenient, I plan to take it everywhere now… If only it was a little faster, the shutter lag is humongous… But then again – it produces images with great quality, so if there’s a need to show a designer how an establishment looks like – there’s nothing better then this. And it’s not as heavy as my other camera (Fujifilm S2 Pro, weights around 2 lbs.), so it’s really a pocket wonder.

Ha! It isn’t as bad as I thought it would – having to have 20-minute window to talk about the Internet and stuff on the radio with people calling in and asking various questions. If I will behave myself (and I hope I will) then this will be regular thing, every Wednesday, around 5pm Chicago time. Oh, yeah, and it’s in Russian

Another thing is that since the guy who hosts the show is alone and it’s kind of hard for him to manage everything, I’ll probably be suggesting the topics for next shows. Which is very good indeed.
