How dumb some people think other people are?

Right now I have 12 e-mails in the inbox of the free hosting offer mailbox, almost all of them look nearly identical. Something like this:

fei

Reason: freebie

Name: wu

Address: feiwu

Phone: feiwu

Message: Can open the same of space me to do the yellow forum 么 !Thank! If can of words! Please the letter of reply: akcoo@vip.163.com

More e-mails like this: grayer@vip.163.com, caotang@vip.163.com, stupid122431hk@gmail.com, cnflying@163.com, emufy@163.com, doon@xasamail.com, suyan@vip.1488.com, lxycc@msn.com, eoyul@vip.163.com, admin788@gmail.com

It’s just hilarious to see the same guy (the 163 domain) sending same e-mail over and over again. Is it really that difficult to find a free host who DOESN’T care what you put on his servers? I care, therefore I will not approve inquiries that have entries like this:

Address: zhongdongcun27

Phone: rouqingjingwang

Yeah, I was really looking forward at dialing that fantastic number!

Nice things in life

How nice was it to find out that after migration to a new server the support script was down… Thank goodness all my clients talk to me either over IM or e-mail, so no one noticed, I hope.

Another nice thing is that one of my supervisers at my day job cancelled the regular “progress” meeting because another one went to California. These meetings are so boring. If it wasn’t for one of my managers, who happen to be very cute lady (I’d call her hot, but that’s a bit shallow on my account), I would be bored a lot more.

Something is happening in NY, since Yankees lost yesterday (it’s not like I care, but apparently something is going on), today there were a lot of police car racing under the building where I tend to work. Siren whaling doesn’t help.

Funny moments – found a flash movie, it’s about outsourcing and is hilarious. Turn the sound on: http://www.illwillpress.com/tech.html

Clients, clients, clients

“Client doesn’t know what he wants until he sees what he gets” – that’s sooo right!

They had this terrible yellowish design with tons of useless flash buttons and very heavy scripts… Yuck! Now it’s going to be stylish, neat and clean… and they hesitated because they used to old yucky thing… poor them, they don’t know what a bad web site could do to their reputation, but lucky them, we are going to prevent that πŸ™‚
